Business owner, master stylist, mentor to many – this is what makes Salon Pop’s owner Mark Braun POP! Mark is a dedicated and excited stylist with over 20 years of experience. He started in the industry 30+ years ago and has been committed to being one of the best in the business ever since. His training started at the Vidal Sassoon Academy and since then, additional training has taken him to Dallas, New York, and London. His drive, talent and passion for beauty have led to numerous awards for his fashion and editorial work with hair, as well as to an envied collection of dedicated guests who have sat in his chair over the years. His attention to detail and his heartfelt caring for his guests is the reason that they are so loyal to him. On the flip-side, his easygoing demeanour and dedication to his team’s growth and success is the reason that his business continues to build.

Charlene has been styling and working with Aveda for almost 2 decades. Pairing enhanced texture into haircuts and gifting her guests with creative colour ideas is her true talent. Charlene believes in helping her guests achieve simple-to-manage, great looking hair. Photo shoots, fashion shows, and continued education keep Charlene evolving and inspired in her daily work with her guests. She brings a positive attitude and a whole new edge of creativity to the Salon POP team.

With over 25 years of experience, Rita has found that collaborating with her guests often provides the best outcome. Her professional, yet easygoing personality allows one to completely relax while in her care. Rita has trained with Vidal Sassoon Academy, Martin Parsons, and over 29 years with Aveda to become the stylist that she is today. Her dedication to the industry has meant that she has also spent her career sharing her knowledge with new talent stylists to further their education. Her creativity doesn’t end with hair…she is a passionate gardener and she loves to cook!

Stacey has been in the beauty industry for about 20 years and she loves it! In fact, she LOVES that she gets to do what she loves! She enjoys pushing the envelope and giving people unique styles that suit them and their lifestyle. Her intention is to make sure that her guests can maintain their great hair once they leave Salon Pop and her philosophy is that if her work only looks good in her chair, as opposed to looking good every day after that…it’s not good enough!

Laura has built a reputation for being a technical haircutter, who pays very close attention to detail. Those who sit in her chair can vouch for her amazing talent! You feel pampered, you probably had a giggle together and know that she genuinely cares about you.

Carrie trained with the Aveda Institute in Winnipeg, where she acquired technical skills, a technical approach to business, and social and environmental awareness. She continued to master her skillset at the Aveda Academy with advanced education in cutting and colour work. Carrie was honoured with the Academy Award of Distinction at the top of her class and she has been working at that level since she joined Salon POP in 2013. An Aveda-educated dual technician specializing in hair colour, Carrie adores styling in Salon POP’s modern and vibrant environment.

Andrea has always had a passion for being creative and for using her hands to produce works of art. As a teenager, that creativity and passion became focused on hair and as a result, High School graduation led to enrolment in the Aveda Institute. A hair star was born! Andrea is focused on service and her guests love her. She is attentive to their wants and she makes full effort to achieve 100% desired results. Andrea is currently on maternity leave with an expected return date of April 2024.

Nataliya graduated from the Aveda Institute Winnipeg in April 2022 after going straight into the program once she graduated High School in 2021. While she was at Aveda she started her career at Salon Pop in November of 2021. She loves a variety of services although discovered a love for blonding. Nataliya is very detail oriented to ensure full satisfaction of her work in and out of the salon! She pledges to always stay a continual learner.

Lauren trained at the Aveda Institute Winnipeg where she completed her education in February 2022. She began working at Salon POP a few months before she graduated and she has never felt so welcomed in a work place. She is looking forward to continuing her education with Salon POP by taking new classes whenever she can to further her knowledge and experience. She is very interested in blonding services and would like to eventually be able to provide extension services as well.
